AIRREMOTE

CONNECTED CONTROL, WHERE YOU NEED IT

What to check when a boat lift remote stops working

First determine which control path has failed: the handheld transmitter, an internet-connected app, or the lift itself. A Wi-Fi upgrade is not a repair for a malfunctioning controller or lift.

Start with the equipment’s own instructions

Use the manufacturer’s troubleshooting procedure. If it permits user replacement of the transmitter battery, check the specified battery and orientation. Look for visible transmitter damage and confirm you are using the correct remote. Do not bypass protective devices or troubleshoot inside energized electrical equipment.

If the handheld remote works but the app does not

For an AirRemote-connected system, check gateway connectivity, the selected device, and recent command history. Review whether the device is configured for the correct remote and operating mode. A network outage or incorrect configuration can affect app access while the original control still works.

If no approved control works

Stop treating the issue as a phone-app problem. There may be a power, receiver, controller, or mechanical fault that requires an installer or service technician. Avoid repeated commands when you cannot establish what the lift is doing. Follow the manufacturer’s procedure for taking the equipment out of use.

Give support a useful fault description

Record the model, which controls still work, when the problem began, and any error information visible in the app. Do not share account passwords or device secrets. This helps separate a replacement-handset request from equipment service or a gateway setup review.

Frequently asked questions

Will AirRemote fix a failed remote receiver?

No. AirRemote adds connected access to compatible working equipment. A receiver or controller fault needs the appropriate repair or replacement.
